Forty-Third Annual Business Meeting and Conference

From September 18, 2017 until September 20, 2017

The NCTA continues to present “Conferences with Character”. Downtown Denver, Colorado is the venue for the 43rd Annual Business Meeting and General Conference, September 18-20, 2017 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The 2017 Conference is an opportunity to hear and see the facts and explore the issues directly with knowledgeable executives, regulators, consultants, and industry leaders.

The coal industry has turned a corner with actionable relief on the regulatory front, renunciation of the moratorium on federal coal leases and the lifting of the Stream Protection Rule. More common sense relief is expected. The NCTA offers you the best value for your travel and education dollars with a low member registration fee of $600, an easily accessible location, and most importantly, all the people you want to see. Speakers will address timely subjects of interest to the entire coal industry. Presenters from coal producers, railroads, electric utilities, a natural gas consultant, the STB, a coal market analyst, and views from the, “Hill,” are all part of the exciting agenda. Speaking of the, “Hill,” Scott Pruitt, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, is invited. With all the EPA changes, we hope to hear about the goals of the administration straight from the Man himself!

Room Rates: $219.00/day Single/Double Make your reservation by 5 pm local time on Monday August 28, 2017 to get the guaranteed NCTA rate. This is an excellent rate for downtown Denver’s compressed market, so don't miss out.

Don’t forget, you can now take the train downtown from Denver International Airport. The train station is easily accessible from the south end of the terminal. Just head towards the Westin Hotel (shaped like a bird in flight, a moustache or a boat, depending on your imagination) and you can't miss it. The fee is $9, but the pass you receive is good all day on area trains and buses so drop your bags and explore the city.

We are fortunate this year to have two sporting events prior to the Fall Conference. Both the Broncos and the Colorado Rockies will be playing on Sunday afternoon, September 17, 2017. Head on down to Coors field for the opening pitch at 1:10pm. The Rockies will be playing the San Diego Padres. The field has added a new way to enjoy the game, The Rooftop. It is a 38,000 square foot destination constructed in the Upper Right field deck, providing stunning panoramic views of Downtown Denver and the Front Range. Tavern Ballpark, CHUBurger Colorado Craft Casual Grill and Jack Daniel's Terrace Bar are three premium bar/eateries featured in this two-tiered area. Fans will also enjoy an urban garden setting, VIP Cabanas, numerous televisions and live pregame entertainment. The Rooftop offers 8 tickets for $96.00. Each ticket includes a $6.00 concession credit. For ticketing or more information visit the official Colorado Rockies Website.
